can u imagine yourself getting married at 18? now please dun go thinking abt shot gun marriages and tv serials. i mean getting married out of pure love at the tender age of 18! unbelievable? believe it. (oh this is so ripley's) haha. was reading some blogs from raph's blogrings. yea God opened my eyes to these amazing women from all over the globe. one's getting married at 18, another's having her second baby at 22, one having 6 children, and a missionary at a young age of 17. how faithful are these women of God!
and then i thought abt my own life. i thought of times when a few of us girls gather and talk abt hot guys and all that. it feels so... immature and wisdom-less. haha. i mean u might argue aiyah, this is youth! but yes, look at these youth! look what are we doing with our youth and what are they! so inspiring.. no, dun get the wrong idea of me wanting to get married next year. haha. i just think that instead of just having fun as a 17 year old girl, i could really use what God has given me to make a difference in others and my life.
it really makes me sigh when i read blogs of some people. people who have tasted God yet left Him or people who acknowledge His power but have no chance to hear more. i mean these are the people we want to reach out to! i mean u dun have to read blogs to know abt them. these people are everywhere in our lives! people who've seen God in you, people who've experienced His love. I'm sure many students are touched by God during student camp. but not many of them have the courage to raise their hands. Its such a pity.
"Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
Matthew 13:3-8
And this is what the Bible says about them."Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
Matthew 13:18-23
