a month since school started. starting to settle down into school life now. starting to get more organised, do my tutorials, stay awake in lectures and LISTEN to the lecturer, planning my time wisely.... etc. well, its good... GOOOOOD..getting my momentum back. :)
was really quite upset today. during loveus. was upset to see people leaving after service ended. i know some had valid reasons(i guess..). but its so sad to see half the worship hall not filled. and disappointing that a lot of the seniors were not there also. i understand that the consensus was that they don't have to participate in loveus anymore but i dunno, was just looking at the people who were there and saw a lot of the young ones, who, majority are not committed to coming regularly. we feel so much for this ministry.. we've done so much too. yet we can just give up on coming altogether. hmm. how would the young ones understand?
and as i was doing renaissance work i really felt the lack of urgency in our ministry. a lot of us, especially the seniors, are playing multiple roles, and i understand that its so hard to be managing so many things at a go. was talking to a sister and realised that this problem existed long ago. and it happens that through the work that i was doing that i found out about it. i thought immediately that it might be one of the factors that attributed to some of the problems in our ministry, like what renaissance faced last year. i guess this is what we have to learn too, to be more spontaneous in our service. but really, this is just a personal opinion and i dont have anything against anyone. im really not good with words, hope this doesnt bring across the wrong message.
And He brought to me this verse:
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
-Colossians 3:12-17
