was preparing for follow up last night and i came across this verse:
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Luke 6:38
I remember telling Cherlyn about the analogy of the funnel that Raph told me before. In order for us to receive from God, we must first give, (like the funnel) or else we would be so filled that we wont be able to receive. this verse adequately addresses this concept so i noted somewhere in the book that im gonna remind cherlyn abt it. somehow at that point i just thought, maybe because im not giving enough, thats why im not given, somehow. but then when i went through planning the lesson, there was this question that asks what are the practical ways that we can do good to others. one of them that was written there was feeding, quenching and clothing your brothers and sisters. (i was pretty discouraged by that time cos i know im not the generous sort who has given my brothers and sisters much) but guess what, an arrow pointed out from that point and says "feeding spiritually-introducing them and guiding them to God". i didnt think much about it, until today. My precious sister gave, to me. and i was so excited when i read her card. She said i had 'given'! Yes, i had given, not physically, but i've given spiritually. and she gave too! so i gave, and i am given! im just so amazed. its hard to pen this down cos i dunno how to accurately describe the awe i feel inside.
